Public Warming and Cooling Center

The Library serves as a warming and cooling center
During our regular open hours, the Prendergast Library serves as a warming center in the winter and a cooling center in the summer.
Members of the public are welcome to come to the library to find relief from extreme temperatures and other weather conditions.
Our hours:
Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday: CLOSED
When you visit the library, you can…
- Read and check out books
- Use our public computers
- Participate in public programs
- Play and learn in the Makerspace and Children’s Room
- Meet with friends
- Use our free WiFi on your phone or laptop
