Over 30 local community organizations have partnered with the library to provide information about their programs and services, as well as activities for community members during the Community Block Party. Learn more about these organizations below.
American Association of University Women
The American Association of University Women is a non-profit organization that empowers women by advancing equity through advocacy, education, and research.
American Red Cross of Western NY
The American Red Cross of WNY in Jamestown provides support to disaster victims, blood donation services, training in a number of first-aid courses, and in-home emergency planning assistance.
Aspire of Western NY
Aspire is a non-profit organization that helps children and adults with developmental disabilities realize their full potential.
Audubon Community Nature Center
Audubon is a non-profit organization that builds and nurtures connections between people and nature by providing positive outdoor experiences, opportunities to learn about and understand the natural world, and knowledge to act in environmentally responsible ways.
Chautauqua Blind Association
The Chautauqua Blind Association is a non-profit organization that enables people with visual impairments to be active members of their community, provides education regarding vision loss and raises awareness of the importance of early vision screening for a lifetime of healthy vision.
The Chautauqua Center
The Chautauqua Center provides medical, dental, behavioral health, chiropractic, nutrition, and pharmacy services to individuals of all ages.
Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene
The purpose of the Mental Hygiene Department is to plan, develop, and provide accessible, comprehensive, integrated, outcome-based mental hygiene services of the highest quality to residents of Chautauqua County. Chautauqua Tapestry represents the weaving together of effective, appropriate and individualized supports and services that are accessible and comprehensive to meet the needs of youth with emotional and behavioral challenges and their families.
Chautauqua County Humane Society
The Humane Society helps to improve and save lives through compassionate care, advocacy for animals, and commitment to the community.
Chautauqua County Weaver's Guild
The Chautauqua County Weavers’ Guild promotes education and interest in handweaving and other related fiber activities. It is dedicated to sharing weaving experiences and expertise and to having fun with weaving.
Chautauqua Institution's Poetry Makerspace
The Poetry Makerspace is an interactive exhibit where individuals can experience and engage with poetry in a unique way.
Chautauqua Opportunities
Chautauqua Opportunities incorporates a customer-driven, strength-based, outcome-focused holistic anti-poverty approach that assists customers in progressing toward economic security on a scale that ranges from “Crisis” to “Thriving”.
Chautauqua Region Community Foundation
The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is a non profit organization that aims to enrich the quality of life for those who live in the Chautauqua region.
Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet
The Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet is the premier school for classical ballet training in the Chautauqua county region.
Chautauqua Striders
Striders is a non-profit organization that provides tutoring, mentoring, outreach, and athletic programs to more than 1,200 Chautauqua County youth annually.
Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy
The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy constantly seeks projects to further their mission of preserving and enhancing the scenic beauty, ecological health, and water quality of the Chautauqua region.
Chautauqua Works
Chautauqua Works provides a network of comprehensive services and labor market information for employers, workers, and job seekers. They offer skill assessment, central posting of job and skill needs, access to qualified service providers, financial aid for training and referrals to other education, and training and social services.
Compeer
Compeer is a non-profit organization serving Chautauqua County that matches trained volunteers in one-to-one supportive friendship and mentoring relationships with children and adults receiving mental health treatment
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County
CCE of Chautauqua County aims to put research-based knowledge to work for Chautauqua County residents involved in agriculture, the environment, youth development and human services.
Cummins
Cummins has generously granted the library many children's books to be given away throughout the summer and at the Block Party!
Fenton History Center
The Fenton History Center is a museum operated within the family home of Reuben E. Fenton. The museum's mission is the preservation of history at the local and national level and to provide educational programming to the community.
Filling the Gap
Filling the Gap is a non-profit that encourages and supports the development of services for people who are poor, distressed, and underprivileged.
Foodies Sweets n Eats
Food will be available for purchase at the Foodies Sweets n Eats food truck! 5% of proceeds will go toward the library.
G.A. Family Services Foster Care
G.A. Family Services Foster Care helps to find safe, stable, and loving homes for children in need in Western New York.
Girl Scouts of Western NY
Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. The Girl Scouts of WNY serves nearly 14,000 girls and 6,000 adult volunteers across WNY.
Infinity Visual& Performing Arts
Infinity is an innovative, multifaceted music and arts education program located in Jamestown, NY.
Jamestown Community College
JCC is a SUNY School located in Jamestown NY that offers liberal arts transfer degree programs, career programs, developmental education, and business and industry training.
Jamestown Community Learning Council
JCLC is a non-profit organization that seeks to strengthen the capacity of families to nurture and support their child's academic development, emotional growth, and physical well-being.
Jamestown Fire Department
The City of Jamestown’s professional firefighters are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to fires and emergencies. Staff and firefighters also provide training and community awareness to benefit fire personnel and the general public.
Jamestown Police Department
The Mission of the Jamestown Police Department is to ensure peace, safety, and a sense of well being to the culturally diverse Jamestown Community. For the Block Party, Officer Ward is bringing Hope the comfort dog!
Jamestown Public Market
The Jamestown Public Market has operated for over 100 years. Today it hosts a farmer's market from June to October and a mobile market from June to September.
Master Gardeners
The Master Gardeners program is a part of Cornell Cooperative Extension's community horticulture outreach activity. The program educates home gardeners, youth in schools, community gardeners, and consumers of horticulture products.
Northwest Arena & The Zone
The Northwest Arena is a multi-use facility for sports, concerts, and events for people of all ages in the community. The Zone is a new project in development at the Arena. The Zone is an indoor sports-themed play space for toddlers through pre-teens.
Prevention Works
Prevention Works is part of the Chautauqua Alcohol & Substance Abuse Council that aims to build a safe and healthy environment by effectively educating the community on positive life choices.
Reg Lenna Center for the Arts
The Reg Lenna inspires, educates, and empowers an engaged community through comprehensive programming. The Reg showcases a wide variety of events including live concerts, movies, ballet, orchestras, gallery shows and more.
The Resource Center
The Resource Center seeks to support individuals with disabilities and other challenges in achieving maximum independence, contributing to their community, experiencing lifelong growth, and enjoying quality of life.
Southwestern Independent Living Center, Inc.
Southwestern Independent Living Center is a non-residential, private, nonprofit agency. The purpose of the Independent Living Center is to provide services that will assist individuals with disabilities in reaching maximum independence and enjoying an enriched quality of life.
St. Susan's Center
St. Susan's Center hosts meetings, events, annual dinners, monthly meetings, special parties, holiday gatherings, and more. The goal of St. Susan's is to build community and increase the understanding and support of their mission to feed the hungry.
YMCA
The YMCA is a non-profit organization that provides programs for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility to members in the community.
YWCA
The YWCA of Jamestown is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
